John Petritis (who even though he probably doesn’t know it, is my mentor professionally, and generally somebody I admire a lot), gave me one of the best compliments ever last week. He was writing an email about seeing the movie 300 at iMax with me and Drew. He went through his review of the flick and politiical issues people have had with the film and wanted to see it with Drew and I to see our opinions of it. Anyhows, at the end he said the following, which is totally awesome, because it’s exactly what I would like to think of myself…
One last thing, I figure you two would be good to point out any errors in my
thinking, because to me, you are:
“Eric – who somehow seems able to cut through bull and see to the core of
things”
…
